Founding Board of Directors & Officers

The ACRAA Board of Directors & Officers since its organization in September 2001.  From left to right:  Mr. Suresh Menon, Director & Chairman of Training Committee; Mr. Pranab Kumar Choudhury, Vice Chairman; Mr. Kazuo Imai, Chairman; Mr. Rajagopalan Ravimohan, Director & Chairman of Best Practices Committee; and Santiago F. Dumlao, Jr., Director & Secretary-General.

On 20 September 2007, Mr. Rajagopalan Ravimohan informed the Board that he had left his post as CEO of CRISIL, Limited., to accept a new position at Standard & Poor’s as Managing Director and Regional Head for South Asia  Accordingly, he relinquished his responsibilities with ACRAA, including his chairmanship of the Best Practices Dialogue.

On 11 Dec 2007, the new Board of Directors and Officers were elected to serve for 2 years, 2008-2009, namely:  Mr. Kazuo Imai, Chairman; Mr. Pranab Kumar Choudhury, Vice Chairman; Mr. Suresh Menon, Director & Chairman of Training Committee; Dr. Cayetano W. Paderanga, Jr., Director & Chairman of Best Practices Committee; Mr. Kahlil Rowter, Director; and Mr. Santiago F. Dumlao, Jr. as Secretary-General.

At the Board of Directors meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, on 15 May 2008, Mr. Hyeok Keun Yoo, CEO of Korea Investment Services, was elected as the new member of the Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Dr. Cayetano W. Paderanga, Jr., former president of PhilRatings.

Also in the same meeting, Mr. P.K. Choudhury, Group CEO of ICRA Ltd., was designated chairman of the Best Practices Committee, replacing Dr. Cayetano W. Paderanga, Jr.  The ACRAA Chairman was designated concurrently chairman of the Regulatory Relations Committee.  It was thought that the chairmanship of the Regulatory Relations Committee, being largely tasked with maintaining the good relations between ACRAA on the one hand and Regulators on the other hand, could appropriately be an ex-officio position of the ACRAA Chairman of the Board.
