A Planning Workshop is scheduled on 6 December 2005, back-to-back with the ACRAA Annual Membership Meeting in Tokyo where on 30 April 2001, the idea of a regional aggrupation of Asian domestic rating agencies was proposed to several Asian credit rating agencies, under the initiative of the Asian Bankers Association. (Historical note: To follow through, a Convenor's group met in Manila on 2 July 2001. On 14 September 2001 ACRAA was formed in an organizational meeting at ADB, with 15 founding members.)
Another Ad Hoc Forum organized by the ASEAN +3 ABMI Working Group 4 is expected to address the continuing topic of "What are the expectations of domestic credit rating agencies by the Basel II Accord?" ACRAA members will be invited to participate. This is scheduled on 7 December 2005.
We have finally launched our ACRAA website last 23 June 2005.
